The BunBurner rides

The BunBurner rides are considered more difficult, and are suitable for more advanced riders. The full rules and rider guidance documents are here.

BBG

BunBurner 1500 (BB1500) or BunBurner 2500K (BB2500K).

This ride requires a ride of 1500 miles (2500km) in less than 36 hours. It is not necessary to ride an SS1000 (SS1600K) on either day. It may be split into 2 parts e.g.: 850 miles on the first day and 650 miles on the second (half) day - or whatever combination of distances suits you.

These rides require a photo including live odo of start and finish computerised receipts, as well as all other fuel/meal receipts, a fuel log and a map marked with your route.

BunBurner SILVER (BBS) and BunBurner 2500K SILVER (BBS2500K) (Extreme rides)

This ride requires a ride of 1500 miles (2500km) in less than 30 hours.

These extreme rides require start and finish computerised receipts, as well as all other fuel/meal receipts, a fuel log and a map marked with your route.

It is a prerequisite that riders have completed at least an SS1000/SS1600K before attempting a BBS or BBS2500K.

BBG

BunBurner GOLD (BBG) and BunBurner 2500K GOLD (BBG2500K) (Extreme rides)

This ride requires a ride of 1500 miles (2500km) in less than 24 hours.

These extreme rides require start and finish computerised receipts, as well as all other fuel/meal receipts, a fuel log and a map marked with your route.

It is a prerequisite that riders have completed at least an SS1000/SS1600K before attempting a BBG or BBG2500K.

BBG

BunBurner Gold 3000 and BunBurner Gold 5000K (Extreme rides)

This is a much more difficult ride, combining two BBG rides, back-to-back - in other words, 3000 miles or 5000 Kilometres in 48 hours.

Each leg of a back-to-back series must be completed start to finish in the time allowed for a single leg, AND all legs of a back-to-back series must be completed start to finish in no more than the total time calculated by adding the time allowed for each independent leg in the series. The term "leg" refers to the individual rides of a back to back series.

The beginning of the second leg of your ride officially starts when the clock runs out on your first leg, or when you obtain a time/date/place stamped receipt; whichever comes first. In either case you must obtain a time/date/place stamped gas receipt before leaving on the start of the second leg of your ride.

It is a prerequisite that riders have completed at least a BBG , SS2000 or BBG2500K before attempting a BBG3000 or BBG5000K.

These much more extreme rides require start and finish computerised receipts, as well as all other fuel/meal receipts, a fuel log and a map marked with your route.

BBG

Fools Gold (Extreme rides)

This is a quite specific BunBurner Gold. It must be completed entirely on the first of April (All Fools Day) so start 00:00:01 hours and finish by 23:59:59 hours.

These much more extreme rides require start and finish computerised receipts, as well as all other fuel/meal receipts, a fuel log and a map marked with your route.

It is a prerequisite that riders have completed at least an SS1000/SS1600K before attempting this ride.
