The SaddleSore series of rides consists of: SS1000 in 24 hours, SS2000 in 48 hours, SS3000 in 72 hours, SS4000 in 4 days, SS5000 in 5 days, SS6000 in 6 days, SS7000 in 7 days, SS8000 in 8 days, SS9000 in 9 days. The full rules and rider guidance documents are here.
The SS1000 is the most common ride, as it is the entry level ride into IBA long distance riding.
The SaddleSore rides are also available in the metric equivalents, but including the K after the number: SS1600K, SS2000K (both in 24 hours); and various other kilometre distance rides are ridden around the world. Basically, rides in the UK are done in MILES while rides in Europe may be done in either MILES or KILOMETRES.

British Isles Insanity1000 miles in less than 24 hours, in each of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland This involves riding four separate Saddlesores, each entirely within one of the four territories. On completion of the 4th one you will receive in addition a British Isles Saddlesore Insanity certificate FOC. |
